university acceptance letter

A place, a scholarship in our prestigious university. Every year thousands of hopeful blah blah blah.

If that sounds familiar, then you’ve been offered a place in a university you’ve applied for.

Congratulations, because it is no easy task having to compete with some of the most brilliant minds for the spot you’ve just received.

But now what?

For someone who finished primary school in the second worst class, did average while in secondary school and went to a polytechnic (where 15% of students make it to university), getting that acceptance letter was surreal.

I was happy, but what had I gotten myself into?

What had I gotten my academically-average self into?

It took me 3 years to get into the groove of being in university and this blog pens down what I wish someone told me before I started.

Hey. It's my final year as an undergraduate at the communications department in Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Over the past 3 years, I've had very kind people teach me about how an average person can do well in university. Find out more about the author.
